The unplanned expatriate blogger behind Stone Bridge Air

Hello, I am Emma
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Toronto, Canada.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Canada wasn’t in the long-range plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The initial few months were intense — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of learning on the job. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began crafting something that felt steady.
Why I Built Stone Bridge Air
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or surface tourism content. What was lacking was genuine, everyday family insight.
This site aims to bridge that gap—practical guidance grounded in real-life experiences in Canada.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site stands for:
- Hands-on experience from living in Canada
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when real changes occur
This site is not:
- A tourism authority reference
- Sponsored review site
- A standard travel blog
Looking Forward
We’ll continue living in Canada and keep learning along the way. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Emma
